Behind the new team of talented design professionals at Decor&You in south Denver is an accomplished business executive, Carmen Proctor. She was a state champion tennis player as a youth in her native Puerto Rico prior to pursuing a U.S. education, earning a BS from M.I.T. in Boston, followed by a Master’s from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. During a 15-year corporate career, she spent three years working throughout South America where she cultivated a love for collecting original sculpture and art. Gracing her entry hall in the Denver home she now shares with her husband and two children is Carmen’s most treasured piece: an original mother and child sculpture by a Nicaraguan artist, 18-inches tall, made of hand-painted clay and featuring vibrant, earth-natural tones of red, gold and ocean blue.

Carmen’s love of art and her management expertise inspired her to become a business entrepreneur and a Decor&You franchise owner whose design team provides full-service furnishing and interior decorating services to area residents and businesses. Design Team Leadership
Carmen’s design team includes Whitney Mackintosh who has a wealth of interior design experience, including extensive professional training, and working for a high-end interior design company in Los Angeles. Whitney puts her creativity and passion for experimenting with colors to work for Decor&You clients.
