Janet Aurora, of Oak Hill, Virginia, has recently turned her lifelong passion for interior decorating into her own business, in association with the national decorating franchise Decor&You. A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute with both a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA, Janet enjoyed a successful 14-year career as a Systems Consultant followed by a few years home-raising children. When deciding to return to the work force, however, she chose to pursue her dream of being an Interior Decorator. She completed the extensive Decor&You training program conducted by its founders, who together represent over 35 years of decorating experience, and subsequently joined the staff of Sandra Hambley, Regional Director for the Northern Virginia area. Janet’s background in business has enabled her to carefully hone her customer service skills which she incorporates into her concept of interior decorating. As she explains, 'I work with my clients to carefully integrate their style and existing furnishings with new elements of color and texture. My goal is to help them build an environment that suits their taste and leaves them absolutely delighted.'
